
BRIAN J BERMAN is a Master Photojournalist with expertise in several areas including Editorial, Essay-Documentary, Events, Sports and Live Performance. He has focused his energies on diverse subjects such as Religion in America, for which he has a site dedicated wholly and exclusively to this subject, www.THEO-PIX.com; Native Americans, with whom he has lived and worked; and Still Life, both of which will be showcased on their own websites later this year.
BJB has taught and managed professional workshops, and has studied with some of the best known names in photography, including Douglas Kirkland, Stephen R. Brown, Jay Maisel, Benedict J. Fernandez and Larry Fink, as well as the late Cole Weston and Arnold Newman. From these masters, he learned the art of environmental portraiture, intuitive shooting, lighting, color and the ability to think on one’s feet.
While known primarily as a photojournalist, Brian J Berman is highly-skilled in Commercial-Industrial, Wedding, & Portrait photography as well. His feature, food and news writing has been published for over twenty years, in newspapers in New Jersey, New Mexico, Connecticut and North Carolina. BJB is also a dramatist, editor and raconteur.
